First has to be Font Squirrel, this is an amazing site for free fonts that are for commercial use, you can convert fonts using the @font-face Generator to create your own font kits and even download pre-made font kits to use in your website – just brilliant! If you’re not familiar with @font-face css rule then I would suggest Nice Web Type has a good tutorial and so do evotech.net
This is another amazing resource, with over 350.000 high quality images to use for free, you can even share your own images for a little bit of exposure. You can browse and use these quality images for nothing – now if that’s not just brilliant I don’t know what is?
This a great website that has got some great giveaways and also brilliant photoshop tutorials amongst other tutorials essential if you want to keep up with the ‘how to’s’. I always find it interesting to see how other designers go about tackling things this is for beginners and veterans.
If you’re anything like me and love wordpress then this is a really useful website. Digging into WordPress, managed by Chris Coyier and Jeff Starr is full of useful quick tips and copy paste code to get the best out of a wordpress installation.
I couldn’t mention Digging into WordPress without CSS Tricks created by Chris Coyier, this blog has it’s own community and gives a massive amount of information as well as freebies and screencast that are great – if you can put up with Chris’s ramblings, which personally I find very entertaining
Again Perishable Press has to be mention in the same breath as Digging into WordPress, managed by Jeff Starr this is full of useful tips and tricks relating to anything wordpress amongst other stuff.
